Stealfox malware steals credit card information by enticing users to use popular software

A group of hackers is introducing harmful malware into computers by tempting them to use free versions of popular software. Through the malware called 'Steelfox', hackers are secretly collecting computer users' Internet usage history and stealing credit card information and virtual currency from a remote location. The incident of spreading malware has been detected by cybersecurity company Kaspersky.

According to Kaspersky, a new harmful malware called Steelfox has been discovered, which enters the WinRing.NET driver of a computer running the Windows operating system and takes control of the computer. It then steals the browsing history, credit card information, and various passwords stored on the computer and sends them to the hackers. The malware is now attacking computer users in different countries.

Hackers are tempting them to use free versions of popular software including Foxit PDF Editor, JetBrains, and AutoCAD to install the malware. As soon as the fake software is downloaded, the malware enters the computer and secretly collects information. Therefore, cybersecurity experts have advised against downloading software from unknown individuals or organizations.
