Many people regularly watch videos on YouTube, a video-watching website. But due to lack of time or busyness, they do not always get to watch the entire video. To solve the problem, many people watch the video playback speed on YouTube more or less. As this feature is popular with users, Google is now working to bring a new design of playback speed control to YouTube's Android and iOS apps.
According to Google, when a YouTube video's playback speed is selected, a vertical menu appears across the screen. In it, the playback speed can be controlled by selecting 0.25 times, 0.5 times, 0.75 times, normal, 1.25 times, 1.5 times, 1.75 times and 2 times. However, in the new design, the YouTube playback speed controller will not be displayed vertically but will be visible at the bottom of the screen. Five preset speed options will be visible in the new design. These are 0.25 times, 1.0 times (normal), 1.25 times, 1.5 times and 2.0 times.
New design playback speed control – A slider will be added to the convenience. Using this slider, users will be able to increase the playback speed by 0.5 times. The speed of the video can be quickly changed by dragging the slider forward or backward or by clicking the ‘plus’ and ‘minus’ buttons on either end.
